Honey has excellent antibacterial qualities and can be safely eaten after many years. Bacteria simply can’t grow in honey. A good experiment to prove this is to take a jar of jam and a jar of honey. Take both lids off and leave them out in the open. You will see that the jam quickly develops mould but none will grow on the honey no matter how long you leave it out.
Wonderful antibacterial honey!
